Ms Melanie Yeoh graduated with a degree in Orthoptics from La Trobe University, Melbourne. Upon completion of her studies, she worked in the Eye Department in Tan Tock Seng Hospital, Singapore for 8 years. She is uniquely trained in the evaluation and treatment of patients with disorders of the visual system with an emphasis on binocular vision (orthoptics) and eye movements.
She is actively involved in the visual rehabilitation of patients with amblyopia (lazy eyes). This includes prism therapy, eye muscle training exercises and special lenses to help with diplopia (double vision). She has the expertise in the assessment of children (verbal and pre-verbal) and special needs children, adapting testing procedures to suit the individual.
