Brow Lift

What is Brow Lift?

A brow lift is a cosmetic treatment that raises the eyebrows. It is also referred to as a forehead lift or rejuvenation. A brow lift enhances the appearance of the forehead, brows, and the area surrounding the eyes. The surgery entails lifting the soft tissue and skin of the forehead and brow.

If you have drooping, sagging, or uneven brows, you may want to consider a brow lift. A brow lift may also improve your self-confidence.

A brow lift can be performed alone or in conjunction with other facial operations like eyelid surgery or a facelift.

Types of Brow Lifts

  • Endoscopic Brow Lift: This minimally invasive technique involves making small incisions behind the hairline and using a small camera (endoscope) to guide the procedure. It’s known for less scarring and quicker recovery times.
  • Temporal (Limited Incision) Brow Lift: Incisions are made near the temples to lift the outer part of the brow, suitable for mild drooping.
  • Coronal Brow Lift: Involves a large incision across the top of the head, from ear to ear, behind the hairline. It’s effective but results in more visible scarring and is less commonly used today.
  • Direct Brow Lift: Involves removing skin above the eyebrows and is often used for patients with very heavy, bushy brows.
  • Hairline Brow Lift: An incision is made along the hairline, removing skin and tissue to lower the brow and reduce a high hairline. It may leave a visible scar along the hairline.

How long can it last?

While a brow lift can provide long-lasting results, the natural aging process will continue, and some sagging might eventually return. Maintaining a healthy lifestyle, including using sunscreen and avoiding smoking, can help prolong the results.

What are the benefits of brow lift?

A brow lift can result in a more youthful appearance, with reduced forehead wrinkles and lifted brows that make you look more awake and refreshed.
